Glen Smith has worked in the music industry for 25 years as a stage, production and tour manager for bands such as The Boomtown Rats, The Human League, The Thompson Twins, Kiss, Glastonbury Festival Main Stage (3 years as Stage Manager) and has also worked for some of the worlds best known suppliers of touring equipment:- Britannia Row, TASCO, TFA Concert Systems as system rentals / production co-ordinator. During this time he has made contact with suppliers of professional sound & lighting equipment world-wide and the experience has given him a first hand perspective of a production company's requirements in terms of both equipment quality and service.

In June 1992 the company was formed primarily to buy and sell top quality used pro audio equipment in a world wide market place, while this still remains an important function of the company, GSA has evolved.
